This tweak is for PS/2 mouses. It increases the number of times your mouse updates on screen resulting in more accurate movement. The default rate is 80 Hz but using the setting in Control Panel > Mouse > Properties > Advanced Settings you can increase it to 100 or 200 Hz. Some BIOS chips provide an option of Low Level Format. This is useful when there are bad sectors on your hard disk. Be very careful using this as it will remove all information on your hard disk as well as partitions on your drive.

Buy a single module instead of multiple modules, also check the RAM clock speed matches with that of your CPU and motherboard.

Try a few diskettes before you make any decision. Use the diskette you have. Try cleaning the read/ write heads of drive. Cleaning disks are available in the market. Check the signal cable. Try re-attaching the cable if it is loose.

Generally re-attaching the cable pins will solve the problem. However, failure of the drive controller can also cause the problem.

If you are using two floppy drives, and want to swap then you can easily do it. In BIOS, select Advanced CMOS settings > Swap floppy drive, enable this setting. This will swap your floppy drive letters.
